Releasing Telluride Film Festival Showroom
We at the Turing Studio have just released a small, cute page for the Telluride Film Festival (Wikipedia Entry).
I only wrote the application logic behind it, the web design was done by Alex Black (design) and Hans Friedrich (HTML, CSS realization).
It is basically a small page for publishing video podcasts which was customly written for TFF. Why did we not base it on conventional blogging and podcasting systems? Well, for one thing, we had some unorthodox requirements. We’re uploading the file via SFTP and copy it into the published data directory so you don’t have to upload the pretty huge Videos via HTTP.
Additionally, we feel it is more extensible this way and doing it with Ruby On Rails it was done pretty quickly.
